The Markets Alliance works to promote and support best practice in all aspects of establishing and operating markets in the UK.

Members of The Markets Alliance represent wholesale, retail and specialist markets. These embrace the interests of markets that are operated by local authorities, private organisers, community groups, co-operatives, and producers' associations. 

The markets sector is very active in the UK, with farmers' markets, general retail markets, fresh foods through wholesale markets all contributing to a sector that has changed substantially over the past decade.
